Came after work for the Happy Hour menu which included drinks, sushi, and small plates at a discounted price.
We were all impressed by how cute & refreshing the drinks were. Dishes were all tasty with surprisingly large portions - enough for sharing among a group of 6. I can’t stop thinking about the truffle fries.😋
Overall great presentation & atmosphere. Will definitely be back for happy hour again! 🥂
This place has delicious fresh seafood. Pricey on the side, but expected. If you are not a seafood person, I wouldn't recommend it. For those who are and especially have an appreciation and love for uni (sea urchin), come check out this place. Took hubby for the first time and loved it. We had sake (of course), UNI PASTA (must have), oysters (kumamoto & Kumiai)(sweet and minor briny), fried calamari (though bland on the meat itself but the seasoning on the outside compliments it), rack of lamb (hubby liked it but it was too charred and bland for me; however, the side of sea salt helps), and lastly a side of fresh uni. It's not the best we have, but you can tell it's fresh.
The ambience of this restaurant is very nice and the service is great. But they use fast food chopsticks which are very out of place with the overall environment. I ordered a shrimp garlic pasta and it was really bad, I've only had the same flavor at Panda express. The uni pasta was not bad.
Nice seafood restaurant with cooked and raw seafood options.
Others have complained about the quality of the food and service, but we had no issues. Fried oysters were crispy and not oily. The crab and truffle noodles are a better option than the uni pasta, in my opinion. Seafood pasta portion was on the small side, but pretty good none
Prices are on the higher side, but it's Santana Row, so don't expect budget dining.
EMC seafood is a nice upscale restaurant to take your significant other. You'll have a nice time there.
Good happy hour!
Truffle salmon roll, tempera shrimp roll, steamed clams and mussels were very good.
Fish taco were ok.
Wish they give you more than one thin pieces of bread.
Nice experience, food was very good. Fresh fish, mussels and oysters. Not cheap but splurge.
Went here to try the uni pasta, but I was not impressed. This is only the second time I’m having uni and there was no distinct taste or texture. It’s like it just blended into the creamy sauce of the pasta. It was cheesy so at least it wasn’t bland. We also had kumamoto oysters which were fresh, but nothing spectacular about the sauce that came with them. Soft shell crab was tasty. Overall, I would say that the food is just average. We got seated right away at 6ish pm on a Friday night though, which I wasn’t expecting as the restaurant is in Santana Row. $120-130 before tips for 2 people I guess is to be expected given the location (we also had drinks). Not a place I’m raving about, but it’s ok.
Ordered food for pickup, stood at the entrance to pickup and watched multiple servers walk in and out, not one made eye contact or acknowledge us being there...
We ordered seafood fried rice, garlic noodles and shrimp tacos, for what they were charging you'd think the taste would be exceptional. The fried rice was just plain, I had to add hot sauce to be able to enjoy them. Shrimp taco and garlic noodles tasted good, either portion or price could be improved
